FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 28, 2016– Rebel Rock Racing rolls through the gates at Road Atlanta this week for the season finale of the 2016 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series (CTSC).  The team will take on both the Grand Sport (GS) and Street Tuner (ST) field in the Road Atlanta 150 as they campaign their Porsche 997 for its final race in CTSC series.

Taking the wheel in the GS class #6 Gran Turismo East/Visit St Pete/Clearwater entry will be local Braselton, GA driver Casey Carden and Ethan Low.  Back with the team after their initial run at Lime Rock Park earlier this season are Lee Carpentier and Kieron O’Rourke in the ST class #7 eEuroparts.com/Blipshift/Spectro Oils Porsche Cayman.  The ST class #8 Urban Grid Porsche Cayman remains in the very capable hands of Theo Bean and Robin Liddell.

Last round at Circuit of the America’s (COTA) saw Bean and Liddell pace the field going P2 and P1 in the first two practices respectfully, with entry running as high as third in the race before an axle failure ended their day prematurely. The team is looking forward to ending the season on a high note with all three entries and going into the offseason with momentum.

Driver Quotes:

Casey Carden: “The Rebel Rock Racing team has really come on strong in the last half of the season, and I look forward to seeing what we can do at my home track.  Road Atlanta is practically in my back yard, so it’s great to be part of a solid effort this weekend.”

Ethan Low: “Rebel Rock Racing is giving me my first opportunity to move into the GS class, and I look forward to taking advantage of it.  Casey (Carden) and I have worked together as instructors at the Skip Barber Racing School right here at Road Atlanta.  Between Casey, me and the hard working Rebel Rock Racing crew, we should have a lot of fun competing in the strong GS field.”

Lee Carpentier: “It’s great to be racing with Kieron (O’Rourke) and Rebel Rock Racing again. Thank you to our sponsors’ eEuroparts.com, Blipship and Spectro Oils for making this happen.”

Kieron O’Rourke: “Very happy to be back with Rebel Rock Racing at Road Atlanta.  I’m looking forward to racing in such a great event on a circuit I know.  At Lime Rock Park it was a new track, new team, and new car to me, so this will be welcomed since the track, car and team are all familiar to me, I can just focus on the racing.”

Theo Bean: “The season has had its up and downs, but I’m excited about Road Atlanta where I think we can earn a good result.  We had good pace at COTA, so hopefully we can carry that over.”

Robin Liddell: “I’m very happy with the strides Rebel Rock Racing has made over the course of this season.  The team works very hard, and the overall program is much improved since we started in Daytona.  I’m confident we can keep the momentum going we had at COTA for a strong result here, and bring that into the offseason to keep building.”

The Road Atlanta 150 kicks off with Practice on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2:35 pm EDT.  The race will drop the green flag on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 12:25 pm EDT and can be viewed live on IMSA.tv or via tape delayed broadcast on Fox Sports 1 on Sunday, October 9th at 11:00 am EDT.
