December 23, 2020 (Gloucester, VA) – Former Mazda MX-5 Champion driver Bryan Ortiz has signed on with Precision Performance Motorsports (PPM) for the upcoming 2021 Lamborghini Super Trofeo season to co-drive with former series World Champion Brandon Gdovic. As PPM gears up for another assault on the series, the excitement is building as the team feels this is a pairing that will be consistently fighting at the front end of the field.
Ortiz, who hails from Puerto Rico, states: “I am more than happy to be able to have this opportunity with Precision Performance Motorsports to go for the championship together with Brandon. I have known the Gdovic’s since the time when I drove in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, the team was always professional and putting great cars on track. Brandon was a great competitor on and off the racetrack. I would like to thank all the partners that have supported my racing career, PPM for their trust and P1 Groupe for their help in getting this deal put together. I’m excited to get behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO and contend for wins and the championship with Brandon.”
2015 Super Trofeo World Champion Brandon Gdovic is equally looking forward to the upcoming season; “I’m excited to have Bryan join the PPM team, and to be co-driving with me for the 2021 season. Seven years ago, we were competitors in the NASCAR K&N series and now all this time later will get to drive together instead of against each other. It will be a fun year and I can’t wait to start working with Bryan soon!”
The team is currently negotiating with additional drivers for the 2021 season, anyone interested in joining Precision Performance Motorsports for the upcoming season should reach out soon as the team will kick-off the new year with testing in pre-season January.
